 uo Quanmu (1965, Nanjing) graduated from fine arts school of Nanjing Normal University in 1990. Upon graduating, he has been working hard on his series of oil and acrylic paintings. The conch which he drew in his childhood was one of the factors which led him to pursue in working with objects which are of close relations to skeletal frameworks, such as maps, specimens and scholar’s rocks. Luo Quanmu succeeds in capturing the illusion and absurdity found within the subjects of his paintings.
He currently lives and works in Nanjing. |
