SZ Art Center in Beijing is an independent organization engaged in art investment and collection founded by Hunan Fine Arts Publishing House and its superior institution- the Hunan Publishing Investment Holding Group. Published by Hunan Fine Arts Publishing House, the collections of case studies prepared by Lü Peng and Zhu Zhu provide the basis for the two shows.
Also, this inaugural exhibition provides a way of interpretating art works from an art history perspective: Each artist is presented within the context of a case history that allows us to view his unique life, social environment and historical context, as well as his creative motivation, facilitating our understanding of his works. The thinking, experience and work of these twenty-three artists, viewed from an overall perspective, provide a tangible chronicle of the development of contemporary Chinese art.
