 he 5th edition of the China International Gallery Exposition (CIGE 2008) will take place at the Exhibition Hall of the China World Trade Center (CWTC) in Beijing since April 25-28.
In 2004, the China International Gallery Exposition（CIGE) was launched in Beijing, In 2008 the record number of the galleries applications for CIGE has reached over 300. After a rigorous selection process, CIGE 2008 will showcase 80 galleries including 33 newcomers from 22 countries and regions such as China、Japan、Korea、Indonesia、Philippine、Thailand、Malaysia、Israel、India、Germany、Mexico、Spain、Switzerland、England、Italy、America、Denmark.
Galleries include：Luxe Gallery (New York), Xin Dong Cheng Space for Contemporary Art (Beijing), F2 Gallery (Beijing), Shanghart Gallery (Shanghai/ Beijing), Michael Schultz Gallery (Berlin/Seoul/Beijing), Hanart T Z Gallery(Hong Kong) etc.
In addition, CIGE 2008 Special Projects invite galleries, artists, not-for-profit art organizations, museums, institutions and visitors to reflect on our contemporary digital visual culture:
