T.F. Chen's digital Olympic

orn in Taiwan and educated in France,Dr. T. F. Chen(1936 - ) was the first Asian scholar to earn a Ph. D in modern art history from La Sorbonne,where he established "Five - Dimensional World Culture" in theory (1969) and initiated "Neo-Iconography" in painting that gave him the international fame.

Chen's works are featured in over two-hundred textbooks (including Arts & Ideas), countless articles, newspapers, art magazines, etc. He is Recognized as "one of the twenty most influential artists in the world today (Dr. Thomas McEvilley, art critic)”.

In year 1996, Chen founded “the T. F. Chen Cultural Center” in New York-- a non-profit organization focusing on international cultural exchange and a Global New Renaissance. He was the recipient of a Global Tolerance Award (2001, U. N.) and designated a "Cultural Ambassador for Tolerance and Peace" by the Friends of the United Nations.

Since August, 2007, Chen set about to create a series of work for 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing . He is the only designated artist of “Digital Olympics” . Up to now, he has created about 60 pieces of work. Meanwhile, a series of exhibitions will open, including the one in Beijing World Art Museum from 13th June to 25th June. His new book “Olympics and Art”, which is a part of the “Digital Olympics”, will cover 60 pieces of his work、18 pieces of “Humanity Series” and 18 pieces of “Temple of Heaven Series”, both in Chinese and English. The whole book will be about 240 pages. The followings are parts of his work on 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing:
