 hina's contemporary art scene -- after two years of spectacular growth and international attention -- shows no signs of slowing. Christie's Hong Kong auction set new records in November, including the sale of a Cai Guoqiang set of paintings for $9.2 million, the highest price ever paid for a work by a Chinese contemporary artist. Vanity Fair has a lengthy article by Barbara Pollack about who's hot and why. And Time magazine's Asia edition put Yue Minjun on the cover, with a lengthy feature by Hannah Beech, the former Shanghai correspondent, who interviewed the likes of Yue and Zhou Tiehai, among others.
