 he Beijing outpost of Italy's GALLERIA CONTINUA is considered one of the city's most impressive art spaces and has hosted shows by internationally known artists such as Daniel Buren, Chen Zhen, Mona Hatou and Anish Kapoor. Its San Gimingnano gallery, which is primarily dedicated to Italian and European contemporary artists, hosted a major show of Cai Guoqiang’s works in the spring of 2006. The gallery, which is located in 798, or the Dashanzi arts district.
Galleria was opened in May 2005 in a former munitions factory. The gallery provides 1,000 square meters of space with 13-meter-high ceilings. The gallery also offers ample space for large-scale installations. The gallery's founders are Mario Cristiani, Lorenzo Fiaschi and Maurizio Rigillo The center displays western contemporary art in China.
