| 艾未未，著名诗人艾青之子。1957生于北京，是中国第一批具有深远影响力的实验艺术家之一。上世纪七十年代末，作为著名现代派艺术民间组织“星星画会”的成员参加过1979年和1980年相继在北京举办的两届《星星美展》。后移民美国，在纽约继续深造。1993年回到中国后，用古董和具有现代意义的物体一起创作出刺激而又具有颠覆性的摄影、装置以及雕塑作品。他的作品用颠覆、重构传统文化符号来表达了对权威和传统的消解与忽视。在受到Dada, Duchamp, Warholand Ginsburg等人的影响后，他开始创作一些富有创意又幽默荒诞的作品。例如他的家具系列，包括改装后两条腿在墙壁上的中式木桌以及三幅一联的摄影作品记录了他摔碎一个汉代花瓶的过程。90年代中期，他推动了东村艺术家群落的成立，此外他还是2008北京奥运会“鸟巢”（国家体育馆）中国顾问。 |
